1. Nitto NT420S
Starting off the list, we have the Nitto NT420S. This is the sportier variant of Nitto's NT420 lineup. The tread is very aggressive and has a really interesting look. Being the sportier version, you can expect to have more direct steering and better braking with this tire. The NT420S doesn't look over the top like an off-road tire but doesn't look like it's meant for the track either. This will be a great daily driving tire in the summer and will give you confidence in a lot of situations. Plus, it looks pretty good.
2. Toyo Proxes S/T
The Toyo Proxes ST is a great all-around tire at a great price. There is plenty of water evacuation channels which make this tire perform well in wet driving conditions. The styling is subtle and doesn't beg for attention like some other tires on the market. Similar to the NT420S, this is a sportier tire than the average all season but doesn't sacrifice road noise and tread life for performance. This is a great, balanced tire that also comes with a full manufacturer warranty.
3. Nitto NT420V
The Nitto NT420V is the more average all-season version in the NT420 lineup. This tire offers fantastic dry and wet performance. The large outer tread blocks increase cornering grip on dry pavement while the two large water evacuation channels running through the whole tire reduce the chances of hydroplaning since the water can easily leave the tire. Overall, this is a really good looking tire that has good tread life and great dry and wet performance.
4. Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT
This one is more for the person that likes the outdoors and hitting the trails occasionally. The Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT combines what the average SUV owner loves about comfort and daily drivability with the off-road capability of an all-terrain tire. There are large tread blocks to give you traction in all environments, a good amount of tread voices to help with dread or mud evacuation, and a lot of siping to help you out even in snowy conditions. This is a tire that can handle pretty much whatever you throw at it.
5. Toyo Open Country AT III
Last but certainly not least is the Toyo Open Country AT III. This is another off-road oriented tire but has to be one of the biggest names in the offroad industry. Toyo's Open Country lineup offers a wide variety of applications for different environments. This one in particular is developed for off-road performance while keeping noise low on the pavement. This is the latest tire in the Open Country series and offers plenty of siping for those in a winter setting as well. This tire also comes with a 50,000 mile warranty.
