Setting up your truck to work for your lifestyle and look good can be tough to nail, but we've covered both a daily driver and a more aggressive setup with important information that will help you decide what size wheels, tires, and what type of suspension you should get for your 4th generation (21017-present) Ford F-250 truck.

Regardless of your setup, remember that the smaller wheel you go with, the larger tire you can throw on generally. You'll also want to ensure that you have proper suspension that clears the wheels and tires

Most suspension kits will list the maximum wheel and tire sizes to prevent any cutting and trimming of the bumper when installing your wheels, tires, and suspension.

What You Need to Know:

  • This F-250 is running a leveling kit from Rough Country to achieve a parallel, leveled look
  • Leveling kits won't necessarily give your extra clearance, but many people choose leveling kits due to their ease of installation and the appearance
  • Since a 20-inch wheel size is a stock size for this generation of the F-250, there is no trimming required and you won't experience rubbing or scrubbing when driving/turning
  • Common tires sizes with 20-inch wheels are 320/60 (like this F-250 is running), 345/65, or 320/70, (Disclaimer: sizing depends on your wheel size; fill out a quote for more fitment information)
  • This is a very common setup for daily drivers who commute on the highway during the week and have home DIY projects on the weekend

What You Need to Know:

  • This F-250 has opted for a 2.5-inch lift kit from ReadyLIFT Suspension while still running a 20-inch wheel (you could run a 2-inch or a 3-inch lift too)
  • This setup gives you extra clearance while still allowing plenty of space to fit a 20-inch wheel with a 320/70 tire like this F-250
  • Just like the last build, there is no trimming required and you won't experience rubbing or scrubbing when driving/turning
  • Common tires sizes with 20-inch wheels are 345/65320/70, or 320/60 (Disclaimer: sizing depends on your wheel size; fill out a quote for more fitment information)
  • This wheel/tire/suspension setup is still very common for daily drivers who want a little extra clearance for weekend hunting and fishing trips

Aggressive Setup Breakdown | 6-inch Lift Kit w/ 22-inch Wheels

  • Wheels: ARKON OFF-ROAD Alexander 24x14 -81
  • Tires: Dirt Commander Centennial M/t 40"x14.5"

What You Need to Know:

  • This F-250 is running an aggressive setup with a 6-inch lift kit from BDS suspension allowing for even more clearance to run a larger wheel
  • Despite the extra clearance of the 6-inch lift, this F-250 does have slight rubbing at a full turn and required some minor plastic trimming primarily due to the large tire size
  • If you run a 24-inch wheel with a smaller tire size, it's possible that you won't need to trim any plastic or experience any rubbing at a full turn
  • Common tires sizes with 24-inch wheels are 370/55 (like this F-250 is running), 345/50, 395/45, and 395/60 (Disclaimer: sizing depends on your wheel size; fill out a quote for more fitment information)
  • Make sure to check the maximum wheel and tire size for your lift kit so avoid bad fitment
